Coming Back to Life

Where were you when I was burned and broken
While the days slipped by from my window watching
Where were you when I was hurt and I was helpless
Because the things you say and the things you do surround me
While you were hanging yourself on someone else's words
Dying to believe in what you heard
I was staring straight into the shining sun

Lost in thought and lost in time
While the seeds of life and the seeds of change were planted
Outside the rain fell dark and slow
While I pondered on this dangerous but irresistible pastime
I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the moment had arrived
For killing the past and coming back to life

I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the waiting had begun
And headed straight..into the shining sun

Hide & Seek

Hide your doubt and seek your ability
For one that hesitates will plant seeds in their negativity
And one that inspires will raise a garden full of colours
Hide your envy and seek your compassion
For one that resents will age with scowl and darkness
And one with kindness will grow with understanding and poise
Hide your fear and seek your courage
For one that panics will freeze in the midst of opportunity
And one that dares will feel the rush in the risk

Build yourself,
Create your being
to the best of your ability
& until your bullet hits the stars

Into the Wild

The sea's only gifts are harsh blows, and occasionally the chance to feel strong. Now I don't know much about the sea, but I do know that that's the way it is here. And I also know how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong but to feel strong. To measure yourself at least once. To find yourself at least once in the most ancient of human conditions. Facing the blind death stone alone, with nothing to help you but your hands and your own head.

"The trip was to be an odyssey in the fullest sense of the word,
an epic journey that would change everything."
There is a way between voice and presence
where information flows...
In disciplined silence it opens,
with wandering talk it closes.

~ Rumi
